SAN ANTONIOMidwestern State posted another 303 team score for the second round of the Women's Lone Star Conference Championship, but the Mustangs slipped to fourth entering the final round. MSU's Taylor Klutts rebounded with a 75 TaylorMade R11 Review on Tuesday for a 158, with Lauren Romines posting an 162. The Mustangs posted a 303 in the second round to total 611. But improvement among all the teams at Randolph Oaks Golf Course forced MSU back in the pack, two strokes behind East Central in eight at 309 and Northeastern State in seventh at 604.The Mustangs sit at 606, but saw Northeastern State turn in a 300 team score to move a stroke ahead of MSU in third at 605. Tarleton State leads the team competition at 574, while Incarnate Word holds a 594 in second at its home The Republic Golf Course The team race became exciting, as first round leader Central Oklahoma maintained its lead, but Abilene Christian and Cameron made a run at the top. UCO sits at 580, with ACU two strokes back at 582 and Cameron seven away in third at 587.The final round of the championship is today.
